The Chris King Boost Rear Hub is a precision mountain bike component designed for the Boost 148mm x 12mm axle standard. It features a 12 x 148mm solid axle and a SRAM XD cassette body. The hub has heavy-duty sealed cartridge bearings with a threaded driveshell seal ring to protect against mud, water, and contaminants. Its canted flanges enable stronger wheel builds, and it includes a patented RingDrive system with 72 points of contact for reliable engagement. The hub uses a 6-bolt disc brake interface and accommodates 28 J-bend spokes. It is matte jade in color and does not include a skewer. Service is straightforward with a T10 Torx and a pick or pen knife. This hub is engineered, manufactured, and assembled in Portland, Oregon, and comes with the King Lifetime Warranty.
