The Continental Grand Prix 5000 is a high-performance road tire sized 700 x 23c. It features a folding clincher design with a black color and a tread and sidewall flat protection. The tire uses a Black Chili compound that combines synthetic and natural rubbers to provide optimized rolling efficiency and grip. The Vectran Breaker layer, made from a liquid crystal-polymer yarn, offers excellent cut resistance while remaining lightweight and flexible, enhancing puncture protection without increasing rolling resistance. LazerGrip technology provides a micro profile texture on the tire’s shoulders for improved cornering. Active Comfort Technology (ACT) is integrated into the tire’s construction to absorb vibrations and deliver a smoother ride. The tire has a 330 TPI casing and a recommended pressure of 123 PSI. It is designed for road use and weighs 200 grams.
