The DT Swiss EX 1700 Classic 30 Rear Wheel is a 29″ tubeless-ready wheel designed for riders who want durable performance on rough terrain. It features an asymmetrical aluminum rim with a 30mm internal width and a welded joint for strength and even spoke tension. The wheel uses reliable DT 350 hubs with tool-free adjustment and low maintenance, incorporating the Ratchet DEG DF system with a 72-point engagement and an anti-pedal kickback feature to improve pedal efficiency. The wheel is built with DT competition race spokes that have a thin middle section for stiffness and durability, hand-laced with flat hex aluminum nipples to protect the tubeless tape. It includes pre-installed 32mm tubeless tape and a black alloy tubeless valve (18-25mm). The rear axle measures 12 x 148mm, uses a Shimano HG cassette body, and is compatible with 6-bolt disc brakes. This black wheel is also designed for eBike use.
