The DT Swiss Ratchet DEG DF Hybrid Anti-pedal Kickback System Upgrade Kit features the DEG DF (Degrees of Freedom) technology, designed to reduce pedal kickback through a simplified mechanism. This upgrade is compatible with all Ratchet DEG DF Hybrid freehub systems and involves replacing the hub’s threaded ring and the two ratchets. It offers three different freehub engagement settings: 0 or 10 , with 60-tooth engagements.
The system is lightweight, easily adjustable without tools, and requires no more maintenance than a classic Ratchet system. By allowing the freehub to rotate within a specific range before engagement, it reduces the chain’s influence on rear suspension, enabling smoother suspension performance. This adjustment provides greater flexibility to fine-tune your bike’s behavior for various terrains or bike setups.
Upgrade kits come with or without an installation tool and work without the need for additional parts.
