Description
The ENVE Composites AR40 Rear Wheel is a 700c carbon wheel designed for versatility on both road and off-road rides. It features a 40mm rim depth and a 25mm internal rim width, providing aerodynamic performance and durability. The wheel uses ENVE’s patent-pending Wide Hookless Bead technology to help reduce the risk of pinch flats when using tubed or tubeless tires. Developed with input from Mercedes-Benz Formula One wind tunnel testing, the AR40 offers optimized real-world aerodynamics.
This rear wheel has a 12 x 142mm thru-axle, is compatible with Shimano Micro Spline cassettes, and fits center-lock disc brakes. It includes a Presta valve and is tubeless ready. The carbon rim benefits from Molded Spoke Hole Technology for enhanced strength and reliability. The hookless, straight-sidewall rim profile ensures consistent and accurate tire fitment.
