Mavic Cosmic Ultimate 700C Rear Road Wheel
The Mavic Cosmic Ultimate is a high-performance tubeless carbon road wheel designed for a balance of weight, stiffness, and aerodynamics. It features a full carbon 45mm rim with an internal width of 23mm (ISO 622) and uses Mavic’s patented R2R elliptical carbon spokes that span from one side of the rim to the other, creating a single spoke without mechanical attachments. The wheel is handmade in France and comes with a lifetime warranty and crash replacement after online registration.
The rear wheel includes Mavic’s ID360 freewheel system with 40 points and 9-degree engagement for quick power transfer. It has high, thin carbon hub flanges that allow the use of continuous spokes to further increase stiffness. Inside the hub shells, the axles use automatically adjusting sealed cartridge bearings for consistent preload. This tubeless-compatible wheel requires no rim drilling and does not need tape to be airtight.
