The Cosmic Ultimate is a high-performance tubeless carbon road wheel designed by Mavic. It features a full carbon rim with a 45mm profile and a width of 23mm (internal diameter), paired with 20 R2R elliptical carbon spokes that connect directly across the rim without mechanical attachments. This design increases stiffness by creating a single continuous spoke structure.
The rear wheel includes Mavic’s ID360 freewheel system, offering 40 points of engagement for quick and responsive power transfer, compatible with 8 to 11-speed drivetrains. The hub employs automatically adjusting sealed cartridge bearings for consistent preload and smooth rotation.
This wheel uses a 12x142mm thru-axle and fits 700C tires with a 622mm bead seat diameter. It is naturally tubeless compatible without requiring rim tape. The hub and rim are finished in carbon color. The wheel is handmade in France and comes with a lifetime warranty and crash replacement upon online registration.
