Description
The Maxxis Assegai Mountain Tire, sized 27.5″x2.60, is designed for downhill racing and aggressive trail riding in mixed conditions. Its knob height is between the Minion DHR II and Shorty tires, with heavily ramped center knobs to reduce rolling resistance. A small knob between the center tread and side knobs helps provide smooth cornering transitions. This tire delivers predictable traction on slippery roots and rocks.
It features MaxxTerra, an updated triple compound that enhances durability while maintaining grip, tread wear, and rolling resistance. The EXO casing protects the sidewalls against cuts and abrasions while remaining lightweight and flexible. The tire comes folding and is tubeless-ready, intended for front installation on mountain bikes. It has 60 TPI and is black in color.
Suitable for trail, enduro, and downhill use, the Assegai is a World Cup Champion Greg Minnaar signature tire.
