Description
The Maxxis Assegai is a 29″x2.60 mountain tire designed for downhill racing and aggressive trail riding in mixed conditions. It features a tread with knob heights between the Minion DHR II and Shorty, with heavily ramped center knobs to reduce rolling resistance. A small knob between the center tread and side knobs helps provide smooth cornering transitions. The tire offers predictable traction on slippery roots and rocks.
Constructed with the 3C MaxxTerra triple compound, it balances additional grip with good tread wear and rolling resistance. The EXO+ casing offers medium-duty puncture protection suitable for all-around trail riding and light-weight e-bikes (E25). This tubeless-ready clincher tire has a folding bead and a 60 TPI casing. It is intended primarily for front installation in trail, enduro, and downhill conditions. The tire is black in color and weighs 1271 grams.
