Description
The Maxxis Dissector II mountain tire features redesigned side knobs with a larger footprint and improved sipes for increased durability and control. Its new shape resists deflection under load, enhancing performance. The center tread maintains a 2-3-2 layout, with the center “3” split into individual knobs to improve braking traction. Transition knobs are positioned outward for a smoother lean-over experience.
This tire is suitable for use on trail bikes as a front, rear, or paired setup depending on trail conditions. For longer travel bikes (150mm+), it serves well as a fast rear tire in dry conditions. It is designed for dry, hardpack, rocky, and rooty terrain.
Specifications include a folding bead, MaxxTerra compound, Double Down tire technology, and a tubeless-ready design. The tire size is 27.5″ x 2.40″ (58-584 diameter), with a width range of 2.30 to 2.60 inches. The tire color is black.
