Description
The Maxxis Dissector II is a 29″ x 2.40 mountain bike tire designed for dry, hard, and rocky terrain. It features a redesigned tread with split center knobs for improved braking and terrain adaptation, and larger side knobs for better grip and stability. The transition knobs are positioned outward to enhance cornering performance.
This tire uses a Wide Trail (WT) casing optimized for rims with 30-35mm inner width. It is Tubeless Ready, allowing for lower air pressure, improved traction, and fewer flats by eliminating the inner tube. The DoubleDown (DD) casing combines two layers of 120 TPI fabric with a butyl sidewall insert, offering durability and increased trail feedback suitable for enduro racing and e-bike use.
The 3C MaxxGrip compound provides Maxxis’s stickiest rubber for maximum grip in dry conditions, making it ideal as a front tire on trail bikes with 130-140mm suspension or a fast rear tire on longer travel setups (150mm+). The tire weighs 1205 grams and has a folding bead construction.
