Description
The Maxxis Dissector II is a 29″x2.40 folding mountain tire designed for tubeless use. It features a redesigned tread with wider side knobs for improved grip and stability on hard terrain. The center tread uses a 2-3-2 layout with split center knobs to enhance braking and adapt to the terrain. Transition knobs are extended outward to allow smoother cornering.
Built with 3C Maxx Terra, an intermediate triple compound, the tire balances grip with durability and rolling efficiency. It includes EXO+ protection for medium-duty puncture resistance on both tread and sidewall, suitable for trail riding and light e-bikes. The Wide Trail (WT) design optimizes the tread and profile for wider rims with a 35mm inner width.
This tire is ideal as a front tire on 130-140mm travel trail bikes or as a fast rear tire on setups with 150mm or more travel, especially in dry, hard, rocky conditions. It pairs well with the Forekaster or Rekon tires for a balanced ride.
