Description
The Maxxis Dissector II is a 29″ x 2.40 folding mountain tire designed for dry, hard, and rocky terrain. It features a redesigned tread with split center knobs for improved braking and terrain adaptability, and larger side knobs for enhanced grip and stability on hard surfaces. The transition knobs are positioned outward to provide smoother cornering.
This tire uses a Wide Trail (WT) casing optimized for rim widths between 30-35mm. It is tubeless ready, allowing you to run lower pressures for better traction, reduced rolling resistance, and fewer flats. The sidewalls include EXO protection, a lightweight, flexible, cut- and abrasion-resistant material that enhances durability without compromising performance.
With a dual compound and a 60 TPI casing, the tire weighs approximately 950 grams. It is suitable as a front tire for trail bikes with 130-140mm suspension or as a fast rear tire for setups with 150mm or more travel in dry conditions. It pairs well with the Maxxis Forekaster or Rekon tires for a balanced ride.
