Description
The Maxxis Dissector II is a 29″x2.40 folding mountain tire designed for dry, hard, rocky terrain. It features a redesigned tread with larger side knobs for improved grip and stability, especially on hard surfaces. The center tread follows a fast-rolling 2-3-2 pattern with split knobs for better braking and terrain adaptation. Outward-positioned transition knobs enhance cornering performance.
This tire uses the MaxxTerra triple compound for increased durability while maintaining good grip, tread wear, and rolling resistance. Its EXO casing offers lightweight protection against cuts and abrasion on the sidewalls. The 60 TPI construction provides a balance of strength and flexibility. The tire is tubeless ready and suitable as a front tire on trail bikes with 130-140mm travel or as a fast rear tire on 150mm+ setups, pairing well with the Maxxis Forekaster or Rekon for a balanced ride. The sidewall and tread protection help guard against flats, making it reliable for challenging mountain conditions.
