The Maxxis Hookworm Tire is a 24 x 2.5-inch clincher tire with a wire bead, designed for BMX use in urban environments such as parks, streets, and vert ramps. It features a single-ply casing made of one layer of nylon wrapped bead-to-bead, providing a lightweight yet durable construction that conforms well to terrain. The tread covers the entire tire surface to maximize contact, with U-shaped channels enhancing cornering grip. The sidewalls have rim-to-rim tread protection for added durability. The knurled tread pattern with siping improves traction during braking and cornering, while the bead-to-bead tread delivers extra cornering grip. This tire has a 60 TPI casing, a maximum pressure of 65 PSI, and weighs approximately 957 to 966 grams. It is a standard, non-folding, non-tubeless tire with black coloring. Use of sealants will void the warranty.
