Description
The Maxxis Minion DHR2 is a 27.5″ x 2.40 mountain tire designed for aggressive trail, enduro, and downhill riding. It features side knobs inspired by the Minion DHF, widened for improved cornering support. The center tread includes ramped leading edges and sipes for better acceleration and smooth lean transitions. Paddle-shaped center knobs provide strong braking traction and bike control.
Built with the 3C MaxxGrip compound, the tire offers maximum traction thanks to its sticky, slow-rebounding rubber. The new DH casing enhances puncture protection, durability, and compliance over rough terrain, while allowing for lower air pressures (2-3 psi less than previous models) for a more planted and dampened ride. The casing prioritizes performance under high cornering loads.
This folding, tubeless-ready tire has a 120×2 TPI construction, weighs 1352 grams, and is black in color. It is compatible with e-bikes (E25 rating) and intended for rear installation. Designed specifically for downhill and mountain biking, the Minion DHR2 pairs well with a Minion DHF tire up front for a complete aggressive trail setup.
