Description
The Maxxis Minion DHR2 is a 27.5″ x 2.40 mountain bike tire designed for aggressive trail riding. It features side knobs adapted from the Minion DHF but widened for enhanced cornering support. The center tread has ramped leading edges and sipes for smoother leaning and improved acceleration. Paddle-shaped center knobs provide strong grip under braking to help maintain control.
This tire uses the MaxxTerra triple compound for a balance of durability, grip, tread wear, and rolling resistance. The DoubleDown (DD) casing combines two layers of 120 TPI lightweight casing with a butyl sidewall insert, offering high durability and better trail feedback compared to downhill casings. The tire is tubeless ready with a folding bead and is suitable for e-bikes (E25 rating).
With flat protection on both tread and sidewall, the Minion DHR2 is recommended for all trail conditions and is intended primarily for rear installation in trail, enduro, and downhill riding. The tire is black in color and weighs approximately 1209 grams.
