The Maxxis Minion DHR2 is a 27.5″ x 2.50 folding mountain tire designed for aggressive trail, enduro, and downhill riding. It features side knobs inspired by the Minion DHF, but widened for greater support and cornering control. The center tread has ramped leading edges to enhance acceleration and sipes for smooth lean transitions. Paddle-shaped center knobs improve traction during hard braking to help maintain control.
This tubeless-ready tire uses MaxxTerra, a triple compound that balances durability, grip, tread wear, and rolling efficiency. Its EXO+ casing offers medium-duty puncture protection for trail riding and light e-bike use. With a 60 TPI casing and folding bead, the tire measures 27.5″ diameter by 2.50″ width and weighs 1068 grams. The black color and tubeless design make it suitable for modern mountain bike setups. The Minion DHR2 is recommended for rear installation and pairs well with a Minion DHF tire up front.
