Description
The Maxxis Minion DHR2 is a 29″x2.40 folding mountain tire designed for trail, enduro, and downhill riding. It features a Double Down (DD) casing with two layers of 120 TPI material and a butyl sidewall insert for enhanced durability and trail feedback. The tire uses the MaxxTerra compound, a triple formulation that improves durability while maintaining grip, tread wear, and rolling resistance.
The tread design includes widened side knobs inspired by the Minion DHF for excellent cornering traction and paddle-shaped center knobs that provide strong braking control and efficient rolling. The ramped leading edges and sipes on the center tread help with acceleration and smooth bike lean transitions.
This tire is tubeless ready with a folding bead and is compatible with E25 e-bikes. It comes in black and weighs approximately 1287 grams. The Minion DHR2 is recommended for rear tire use across various trail conditions.
