Description
The Maxxis Reaver Tire is designed for gravel racing, offering a faster, lighter, and more durable option compared to previous models. It features a low-profile tread with diamond knurling to reduce rolling resistance and improve grip on dusty or loose surfaces. The tire includes paddle knobs grouped in threes for better braking performance, while the side knobs are closely spaced and staggered to enhance cornering stability. Each side knob has a groove that allows it to flex and adapt to the terrain, increasing traction.
Constructed with a dual compound rubber, the tire provides a balance of low rolling resistance and improved cornering grip. The EXO casing protects the sidewalls against cuts and abrasions, maintaining flexibility without added weight. This race-ready tread is suitable for pavement, dirt roads, and gravel.
The tire is tubeless ready, allowing riders to run lower air pressures for better traction, enjoy lower rolling resistance than tube-type tires, and reduce the risk of flats. It measures 700 x 45mm, has a folding bead, tan sidewalls, and weighs approximately 490-495 grams. It has a 120 TPI casing and is intended specifically for gravel riding.
