Description
The Maxxis Receptor Gravel Tire is a 700x40C folding tire designed for gravel riding on pavement, hard-packed dirt, and light gravel surfaces. It features a semi-slick tread with a file-style centerline and shoulders, plus larger knobs on the corners to improve handling in turns. The tire uses the HYPR-X compound, which combines attributes from HYPR Road and MaxxSpeed MTB compounds for enhanced traction and low rolling resistance. Equipped with Maxxis’ EXO casing, this tire provides added puncture protection through a densely woven, flexible fabric in the sidewall. It is tubeless ready (sealant required) and has a 120 TPI casing for a lightweight and flexible ride. The tire weighs 440 grams and comes in black.
