Description
The Maxxis Rekon is an aggressive mountain tire designed for intermediate and technical trail riding. It features wide knobs down the center for controlled braking and L-shaped side knobs that provide support when cornering on loose terrain. The ramped center knobs offer fast rolling and secure braking, while the aggressive side lugs enhance traction on corners.
This tire uses MaxxTerra, a triple compound formulation that improves durability without compromising grip, tread wear, or rolling resistance. It includes EXO+ protection, a medium-duty puncture-resistant layer suitable for general trail riding and light electric bikes. The Rekon is tubeless-ready and has a folding bead.
The tire measures 27.5 x 2.60 inches (ISO 584 x 66 mm) and is black in color. It is designed for use in loose to moderate trail conditions, including loose and loose over hard surfaces. The tire features flat protection on both the tread and sidewall, with a 60 TPI casing.
