The MET Trenta Helmet in Opal Gray Gloss (Large) is a performance road helmet designed to enhance ventilation and reduce energy expenditure while cycling. It features the MIPS-C2 rotational management system, which helps reduce rotational forces in certain impacts by allowing the helmet to slide slightly during a crash. The helmet has 19 vents and an internal air channeling system that uses the Venturi effect to push warm air out through strategically placed exhausts, maintaining constant airflow for comfort. Its tube-shaped tail and aerodynamic design improve airflow efficiency.
Constructed with an in-mold polycarbonate shell and EPS liner, the helmet offers durability and protection. Comfort and fit are ensured by the MET Safe-T Orbital Fit System, which includes a 360 head belt along with vertical and occipital adjustments for a customized fit. Air Lite straps with an adjustable divider enhance both aerodynamics and comfort. Additionally, sunglass ports allow secure storage of sunglasses when climbing or resting.
The helmet complies with the U.S. CPSC Safety Standard for Bicycle Helmets for persons age 5 and older. It is intended for adults with a head circumference between 58 and 61 cm. This model does not include a visor. The helmet weighs 330 grams and is suitable for road and triathlon/time trial cycling.
