Description
The Park Tool BBT-118 Steel Bottom Bracket / Lockring Tool is a durable bicycle workshop tool made from 4140 steel. It is designed for removing and installing components with eight-notch fittings, including Shimano Octalink external cup bottom brackets, ISIS Drive cups from Truvativ and Bontrager, and front chainring lockrings on Bosch Gen 3, Gen 4, and Gen 5 e-bike systems, as well as Specialized Levo Brose systems.
This tool features an extra-deep body to accommodate wide spindles and low-profile walls that allow access to recessed lockrings. It offers three drive options for versatile use: a 3/8″ drive fitting, a 1″ hex fitting, and 36mm wrench flats. The internal clearance measures 31.14mm in depth by 22.48mm in diameter, with a nominal inside diameter of 37.6mm and outside diameter of 42.7mm at the eight-notch engagement.
The BBT-118 is intended for heavy-duty workshop use and is not rated for impact drivers. Its black finish completes the tool’s professional design.
