Description
The Park Tool BBT-169 is a heavy-duty steel bottom bracket and lockring socket designed for workshop use. It fits 16-notch tool fittings with a major diameter of 44-45mm and a minor diameter of 42.7mm. This tool works with various threaded bottom bracket cups, including Shimano BB80, BB5700, XT BB70, BB51, and earlier external bearing threaded cups, as well as cups from Campagnolo, Chris King, FSA MegaExo, Hope, SRAM/Truvativ GXP, Race Face X-type, Surly, and others.
In addition, the BBT-169 fits center lock disc brake rotor lockrings and Bafang BBSH and BBS02 mid-drive motor lockrings. Its extra-deep body accommodates wide spindles, and low-profile walls allow it to engage recessed lockrings effectively.
This tool offers three drive options: a 3/8″ drive fitting, a 1″ hex fitting, and 36mm wrench flats, providing versatile options to handle seized components. Integrated threads enable attachment of the Park Tool BBT-RS Bottom Bracket Tool Retaining System or GPS-1 Guide Pins for added stability (both sold separately). The BBT-169 is machined from durable 4140 steel and comes in black.
Please note, this tool is not rated for use with impact drivers.
