Description
This bundle includes two Park Tool products designed for head tube preparation and maintenance.
1. Park Tool 690-XL Oversized Replacement Facer: This facing cutter is sized at 57mm outer diameter and includes both upper and lower cutters. It is intended for head tubes using integrated headsets without cups that have a 41mm, 45-degree angular contact bearing. The 690-XL is used with the 750 centering cone adapter, which is sold separately. It serves as a replacement part for Park Tool head and steerer tube cutting tools.
2. Park Tool 788 Reamer: This reamer has a size of 43.95mm and is designed to ream head tube internal diameters to accept internal headset cups with an outer diameter between 44.05mm and 44.10mm, compatible with 1-1/8 ZS and 1.5 EC headset standards. It is silver in color and meant for use with the HTR-1 head tube reaming/facing set. The 788 reamer can be used in combination with the 690-XL facing cutter and 750 centering cone for efficient two-in-one operation, suitable for upper or lower head tubes that accept ZS44 or EC44 headsets.
Together, these tools enable precise facing and reaming of bicycle head tubes to ensure proper fit and function of integrated and internal headset systems.
