Description
This bundle includes two Park Tool products designed to enhance and extend the capabilities of the TS-2 Truing Stand.
1. Park Tool TS-2EXT.3 Upright Extensions and Thru Axle Adaptor
These upright extensions install quickly on any TS-2 or TS-2.2 Truing Stand, allowing you to work with wheels that have hubs up to 200mm wide, such as those found on tandem, fat, and downhill bikes, as well as wheels fitted with 29-inch mountain bike tires. The extensions feature specially sized bosses that act as adaptors for wheels with thru-axle hubs that have removable axles. They include slots to secure rear drive e-bike wheels. Note that the TS-2.2 stand does not require these adaptors for 29-inch wheels but does need them to accommodate hub widths between 180mm and over 200mm.
2. Park Tool 238K Wide Wheel and Tire Caliper Upgrade
This caliper upgrade kit is designed to replace or add components on the TS-2 Truing Stand, enabling it to accept larger wheels and wider tires. The kit includes left and right caliper fingers and a pair of removable plastic composite tips. When used alone, the 238K won’t allow 29-inch wheels with tires to be trued on older TS-2 stands unless combined with Park Tool Upright Extensions (TS-2EXT or TS-2EXT.2).
Together, these parts expand the versatility of the Park Tool TS-2 Truing Stand, allowing it to accommodate a wider range of wheel sizes and hub types.
