This bundle includes two Park Tool products designed for bottom bracket installation and removal:
1. Park Tool BBT-RS Bottom Bracket Tool Retaining System
The BBT-RS is a retaining system that improves engagement between bottom bracket cups and tools. It uses a spring-based tension system to apply consistent, adjustable pressure, ensuring full engagement and preventing slippage during use. Compatible with most threaded and thread-together bottom bracket standards, it features an M8 threaded rod and a double-sided adapter nut with M12 and M15 threads. This allows it to thread directly into compatible cartridge bottom brackets or to be used with Park Tool’s aluminum bottom bracket tools that have integrated threading for the BBT-RS.

2. Park Tool BBT-69.4 Bottom Bracket External Socket Tool
The BBT-69.4 is a precision CNC-machined aluminum socket designed to install and remove select threaded bottom brackets with 16-notch tool fittings. It fits 16-notch fittings with a major diameter of 44-45 mm and a minor diameter of 42.7 mm. The socket has a deeper inner profile to accommodate center lock brakes and features a 3/8″ drive compatibility. It fits various bottom bracket cups from Shimano, Campagnolo, Chris King, FSA MegaExo, Hope, SRAM/Truvativ GXP, Race Face X-type, Surly, Wheels, Fulcrum, and others. Additionally, it is compatible with center lock disc brake rotor lockrings and Bafang mid-drive motor lockrings (BBSH, BBS02).
