These clincher tires feature a wire bead and are designed for utility and cargo bikes, providing reliable performance under heavy loads. They have a high-volume design with a tread pattern that combines large interlocking center blocks for stability and smaller side blocks for excellent grip when cornering, even on wet or uneven surfaces.
The tires use a Super Defense casing with a durable 6-layer double carcass that offers strong puncture protection and stability for heavy-duty cargo and e-bike use. The Addix rubber compound balances grip, rolling resistance, and durability to deliver consistent performance without compromise. These tires carry an E-50 rating suitable for e-bikes.
Additional details include a 67 TPI casing, black color with reflective sidewalls for added visibility, a wire bead, 55 mm width (ISO), and 305 mm diameter (ISO 16″). Each tire weighs 590 grams and is intended for touring and hybrid bikes. They are also produced using recycled carbon black from Schwalbe’s tire recycling process.
