These high-volume balloon tires are designed for comfort and safety on cargo bikes and e-bikes, performing well on roads and light terrain such as bike paths and paved forest trails. The nearly continuous tread pattern ensures smooth rolling while providing reliable traction with its depth between tread blocks and textured outer surface.
The tires feature a Standard construction casing, balancing durability, comfort, rolling efficiency, and puncture protection suitable for commuting, touring, recreational riding, and e-bike use. RaceGuard technology incorporates double-layered nylon fabric under the tread for added puncture resistance without sacrificing weight. Double Defense offers further protection with two reinforcement layers: a protective belt under the tread and durable fabric on the sidewalls to prevent flats and cuts.
These tires use the eco-conscious Addix Green rubber compound, which combines fair-trade natural rubber and recycled carbon black, reducing environmental impact while maintaining durability and reliable everyday performance. They are E-50 rated for e-bike use and are constructed with recycled carbon black from Schwalbe’s tire recycling process.
Additional specifications include a 67 TPI wire bead clincher design, a black color, 980 grams weight per tire, and a 70 mm width with ISO diameter 584 mm (650b). These tires are intended primarily for touring and hybrid applications, offering agility and fun on asphalt, cobbles, and light terrain.
