Description
This bundle includes two Schwalbe Romy tires, each sized 29 x 2.40 inches. These tubeless-ready, folding tires are designed for mountain and downhill biking, including use on trail bikes and light-assist eMTBs. The Romy tire features a Trail Pro Radial casing with a 67 TPI construction, providing lightweight durability and strong puncture protection.
The radial carcass design increases the contact area with the ground by approximately 30% compared to conventional tires at the same air pressure, enhancing grip and control. Even at higher air pressures, the contact area remains larger, improving traction and comfort. The overlapping carcass material reduces tension and allows the tire to flex more effectively over uneven terrain without compromising handling.
Built with a soft compound, the Romy balances grip, damping, and durability, making it suitable for aggressive trail, enduro, and eMTB riding. The tread is designed to roll quickly while maintaining reliable grip and predictable control. Flat protection is provided on both the tread and sidewall for added security on demanding trails.
Each tire weighs 1050 grams and is black in color. They carry an E50 rating, indicating compatibility with electric bikes. This pair of Schwalbe Romy tires offers versatile, all-around performance for riders seeking a reliable and adaptable tire for varied off-road conditions.
