The Spank SPANK 359 Rear Wheel is a 27.5″ wheel with 32 spokes, designed for 148mm Boost XD hubs in black. It features the new SPANK HEX Drive Hub with a 102-tooth, 6-pawl ratchet system providing a quick 3.5-degree engagement for near-instant power transfer. This hand-built wheel meets A-Class specifications and is trusted by professionals in Enduro World Series events.
The rim has a moderately low profile height of 19mm and a 30.5mm inner width, balancing radial compliance and lateral stiffness for predictable handling and improved traction over rough terrain. It fits tires ranging from 2.0″ to 2.6″, and can accommodate plus-sized tires without compromising tire profile shape. Bead Bite tubeless hooks enhance tubeless tire performance and security even at low pressures.
Built with J-Hook, triple-butted spokes, brass external nipples, and 3-cross lacing, the wheel is tubeless taped and includes a Presta valve. The hub is made from CNC-optimized forged alloy with alloy axle and freehub body, and uses a 6-bolt disc mount.
This wheel is suitable for a range of riding styles and intensities, including all-mountain, trail, enduro, freeride, downhill, gravel, cross-country, and e-bike (when adapted with the SPANK HEX DRIVE steel freehub, sold separately). It is rated ASTM 5 for durability and performance.
Compatible adapters and service kits are available for different hub spacings and freehub types.
