The Spank SPANK 359 Rear Wheel is a 29-inch, 32-hole wheel designed with a 148mm Boost spacing and XD freehub body in black. It features the new SPANK HEX Drive Hub with a 102-tooth, 6-pawl ratchet system offering 3.5 degrees of engagement for quick response.
Hand-built to A-Class specifications, this wheel balances a low 19mm rim profile height with a 30.5mm inner width, making it compatible with tire sizes ranging from 2.0″ to 2.6″ and suitable for plus-size tires without compromising tire shape. The moderately wide rim width provides a combination of radial compliance for improved traction and comfort, along with high lateral stiffness for predictable handling.
Tubeless-ready with bead bite hooks, the wheel enhances tire security and performance at lower pressures. It includes a CNC-optimized forged alloy hub body, alloy axle, and freehub body.
The wheel uses 32 triple-butted J-hook spokes laced with brass external nipples in a 3-cross pattern. It is fitted with a Presta valve and comes tubeless taped and valved.
Ideal for all-mountain, trail, enduro, freeride, downhill, gravel, cross-country, and e-bike use when adapted with the SPANK HEX DRIVE steel freehub (sold separately).
Weight for the 29″, 148mm Boost XD version is approximately 1109 grams.
Compatible rear adapters and service kits are available separately to suit different hub spacing and freehub standards.
