Description
The Spank HEX Boost R141/148 Hub offers lightning-fast engagement with its HEX DRIVE 102T technology, providing 3.5 degrees of engagement through six independent pawls and a total of 18 engagement points per click. The hub features a full alloy body and axle along with alloy freehub options for HG or XD, designed to resist cassette damage without the extra weight of steel. An advanced seal system helps protect the bearings and drive system from contamination.
This 32-hole hub has a Boost 12x148mm J-hook configuration with a 6-bolt disc mount. It is CNC-optimized with a forged alloy hub body, alloy axle, and alloy freehub body finished in matte anodized with laser logos. The weight is approximately 318 grams for the HG version and 310 grams for the XD version.
The hub is intended for various mountain biking disciplines including all mountain, trail, enduro, freeride, downhill, gravel, and cross-country use. It can be converted to QRx141 with a separately purchased adapter. No adapters are included, but adapters and service kits compatible with Spank HEX J-Type rear hubs are available separately.
