The Spank HEX Boost R141/148 Hub features the HEX DRIVE 102T technology, providing lightning-fast engagement with 3.5 degrees of engagement and 18 points per click from six independent pawls. The hub has a full alloy body and axle, with alloy freehub options (HG or XD) designed to resist cassette damage without added weight. It includes an advanced seal system to protect bearings and drive components from contamination.
This Boost 12x148mm hub uses a 32-hole J-hook flange design that reduces spoke tension differences and dish requirements. It mounts with a 6-bolt disc interface and has a matte anodized finish with laser-etched logos. The hub weighs approximately 318 grams with the HG freehub and 310 grams with the XD freehub.
The hub can be converted to Quick Release x 141mm using a separately available endcap adapter. It is compatible with various adapters and service kits from Spank’s HEX J-Type rear hub line to accommodate different axle standards and maintenance needs.
