The Spank HEX Boost R141/148 Hub offers lightning-fast engagement with its HEX DRIVE 102T technology, providing 3.5 degrees of engagement for near-instant pickup. It features a 6-pawl design with 18 engagement points per click, ensuring reliable performance across various riding styles including all mountain, trail, enduro, freeride, downhill, gravel, and cross-country.
Constructed from CNC-optimized forged alloy, the hub body, axle, and freehub are made from alloy for durability and lightweight performance. The freehub is available in alloy HG or alloy XD versions suitable for HD and e-bike use. The hub includes an advanced seal system to protect bearings and the drive system from contamination.
Designed as a Boost 12x148mm configuration with a 32-hole J-hook, it uses a 6-bolt disc mount. The unique flange design reduces spoke dish and balances spoke tension between the drive and non-drive sides. The hub comes in a matte anodized green finish with laser-etched logos.
The Boost R148 hub can be converted to QRx141 with a separately available endcap. No adapters are included, but Boost QRx141 adapters can be purchased separately. Compatible service kits and replacement parts are available for maintenance.
