The Spank HEX Boost R141/148 Hub is designed for all-mountain, trail, enduro, freeride, downhill, gravel, and cross-country riding. It features Spank’s HEX DRIVE 102T technology, offering 3.5-degree engagement with 6 pawls, delivering 18 points of engagement per click for quick and responsive performance.
The hub body, axle, and freehub are made from CNC-optimized forged alloy for durability and reduced weight. It comes with a Bite Block alloy HG freehub or steel freehubs for heavy-duty and e-bike use. The unique flange design minimizes spoke tension differences and dish requirements, while an advanced seal system helps protect bearings and the drive mechanism from contamination.
This Boost 12x148mm hub has a 32-hole J-hook design and a 6-bolt disc mount. It is available in a matte anodized finish with laser-etched logos and weighs approximately 318g (HG freehub) or 310g (XD freehub). The hub can be converted to QRx141 with a separately sold endcap.
Adapters and service kits compatible with this hub are sold separately. The hub is available in orange.
