Description
The Spank SPANK HEX Boost R141/148 Hubs are designed for fast engagement and durability in mountain biking and related disciplines. Featuring SPANK’s HEX DRIVE 102T technology, these hubs provide 3.5-degree engagement with 18 points per click from six independent pawls, ensuring quick and reliable power transfer.
Constructed with a CNC-optimized forged alloy hub body, alloy axle, and alloy freehub body, the hubs are lightweight yet strong. The Bite-Block alloy freehubs resist cassette damage without the extra weight of steel, with options for steel freehubs suitable for heavy-duty or e-bike use. The advanced seal system helps protect bearings and drive components from contamination.
These hubs have a 32-hole J-hook design and use a 6-bolt disc mount. They come in a Boost 12x148mm configuration with a matte anodized orange finish and laser-etched logos. The hubs weigh approximately 318 grams with the HG freehub and 310 grams with the XD freehub.
The Boost 148mm hubs can be converted to QRx141 with a separately purchased endcap adapter. Additional adapters and service kits compatible with SPANK HEX J-type rear hubs are available separately.
