Description
The Spank HEX Boost R141/148 Hub is designed for all-mountain, trail, enduro, freeride, downhill, gravel, and cross-country riding. It features Spank’s HEX DRIVE 102T technology, providing lightning-fast engagement with 18 engagement points per click through six independent pawls and a 3.5-degree engagement angle.
Constructed from CNC-optimized forged alloy, the hub body, axle, and freehub are made of alloy for durability and reduced weight. The hub includes a Bite Block design on the freehub body, available in alloy HG or alloy XD versions, which resists cassette damage without adding the weight of steel. The advanced seal system helps protect bearings and the drive system from contamination.
This Boost 12x148mm J-hook hub has 32 spokes and a 6-bolt disc mount. It comes finished in matte anodized black with laser-engraved logos. The hub weighs approximately 318 grams for the HG freehub version and 310 grams for the XD version.
The hub can be converted to quick release 141mm with a separately sold adapter. Additional adapters and service kits compatible with Spank HEX J-type rear hubs are available for various axle configurations and maintenance needs. Adapters for Boost QRx141 are sold separately.
