Description
The Spank HEX Boost R141/148 Hubs are designed for high-performance mountain biking across all-mountain, trail, enduro, freeride, downhill, gravel, and cross-country disciplines. These hubs feature Spank’s HEX DRIVE 102T technology, providing a fast 3.5-degree engagement with 18 points of engagement per click thanks to six independent pawls.
Constructed with a CNC-optimized forged alloy hub body and alloy axle, the hubs have alloy freehub bodies available in HG or XD versions. The Bite Block design on the freehub bodies helps resist damage from cassettes without adding the weight of steel. An advanced seal system protects the bearings and drive mechanism from contamination.
The hubs come in Boost 12x148mm spacing with a 32-hole J-hook spoke flange, finished in matte anodized blue with laser logos. They have a 6-bolt disc mount and weigh approximately 310 grams (XD) or 318 grams (HG). Conversion to QRx141 spacing is possible with a separately purchased adapter.
Adapters and service kits compatible with the Spank HEX J-Type rear hubs are available separately, including replacement bearing kits, axle shafts, and freehubs suitable for various configurations.
