Description
The Spank SPANK HEX Boost R141/148 Hub is designed for mountain biking disciplines including all mountain, trail, enduro, freeride, downhill, gravel, and cross-country. It features a 102-tooth HEX DRIVE system with 6 pawls, providing 3.5 degrees of engagement for fast and precise pickup. The hub body and axle are made from CNC-optimized forged alloy, with either alloy or steel freehub bodies available to suit standard or heavy-duty e-bike use.
This Boost 12x148mm J-hook hub has 32 J-hook spoke holes and uses a 6-bolt disc mount. It comes finished in matte anodized black with laser-etched logos. The freehub options include alloy HG or alloy XD, weighing approximately 318g (HG) or 310g (XD). The hub features a unique flange design to reduce spoke dish and balance spoke tension and includes an advanced seal system to protect bearings and the drive mechanism from contamination.
The hub can be converted to QRx141 configuration with a separately sold endcap adapter. While no adapters are included, compatible adapters and service kits are available separately to maintain and customize your hub setup.
