Description
The Spank HEX Boost R141/148 Hub is designed for Boost 12x148mm setups with a 32-hole J-hook configuration. It features Spank’s HEX DRIVE 102T technology, offering fast engagement with 3.5-degree rotation and six pawls providing 18 engagement points per click for quick power transfer. The hub body, axle, and freehub are made from CNC optimized forged alloy, combining durability with light weight.
This model comes with an alloy freehub body compatible with both HG and XD cassettes, suitable for standard and heavy-duty e-bike use. The advanced seal system helps protect bearings and the drive system from contamination. The unique flange design reduces spoke dish and balances spoke tension.
The hub has a matte anodized finish with laser-etched logos and uses a 6-bolt disc mount. It weighs approximately 318 grams with the HG freehub or 310 grams with the XD freehub. Adaptors for conversion to QRx141 are sold separately.
Compatible service kits and replacement parts, including bearings, axles, and freehubs, are available for maintenance. This hub is suitable for various riding styles such as all-mountain, trail, enduro, freeride, downhill, gravel, and cross-country.
