Description
The Spank HEX Boost R141/148 Hub is designed for all-mountain, trail, enduro, freeride, downhill, gravel, and cross-country riding. It features the HEX DRIVE 102T technology, providing lightning-fast engagement with 3.5 degrees of engagement. The hub uses six independent pawls with three steps each, offering 18 engagement points per click for quick pickup.
Constructed with a CNC optimized forged alloy hub body, alloy axle, and alloy freehub body, it offers durability without added weight. The hub comes in a Boost 12x148mm J-hook configuration and has a 32-hole count with J-hook spokes. It supports both Alloy HG and Alloy XD freehubs and includes a 6-bolt disc mount.
The design includes a unique flange to reduce the dish requirement and minimize spoke tension differences between drive and non-drive sides. An advanced seal system helps prevent contamination of bearings and the drive system. The hub has a matte anodized finish with laser-engraved logos and comes in green.
Weight is approximately 318 grams for the HG version and 310 grams for the XD. While no adapters are included, the hub can be converted to QRx141 with a separately sold endcap. Compatible service kits and replacement parts are available for maintenance.
This hub is suitable for Boost 12x148mm setups and can be used with various Spank HEX rear hub adapters for different axle standards.
