Description
The Spank HEX Boost R141/148 Hub is designed for fast engagement with its HEX DRIVE 102T technology, offering 3.5 degrees of engagement through six independent pawls and a total of 18 engagement points per click. The hub features a full alloy body and axle with Bite Block alloy freehubs, providing resistance to cassette damage without the added weight of steel. An advanced seal system helps protect the bearings and drive system from contamination.
This Boost 12x148mm hub is available in a 32-hole J-hook configuration with a 6-bolt disc mount. It comes with alloy HG or XD freehub options, weighing approximately 318g (HG) or 310g (XD). The hub’s unique flange design reduces the need for dish and minimizes tension differences between drive and non-drive side spokes.
The hub can be converted to Quick Release x141 with a separately purchased endcap. It suits a wide range of riding styles, including all-mountain, trail, enduro, freeride, downhill, gravel, and cross-country.
Adapters and service kits compatible with Spank HEX J-type rear hubs are available separately. The hub comes in an orange finish with matte anodizing and laser logos.
