The Spank SPANK SPIKE 369 Rear Wheel is a 27.5″ wheel featuring a 32-hole build and 148mm Boost spacing with a Microspline freehub. It is hand-built to A-Class specifications and uses the new SPANK HEX Drive Hub, which offers a 102-tooth, 6-pawl ratchet mechanism providing 3.5 degrees of engagement for fast pedal response.
The wheel features a Sacred Geometry hollow bead wall design that enhances lateral and vertical strength. Its wider 30.5mm inner rim width improves impact resistance and reduces pinch flats while supporting tire sizes from 2.0″ to 2.6″, including plus-size tires without distorting the tire profile. The 19mm profile height balances radial compliance for improved traction over rough terrain with lateral stiffness for predictable handling.
Bead Bite tubeless hooks ensure reliable tubeless performance and tire security at lower pressures. The wheel is compatible with 150/157mm hubs for Superboost applications (used by brands like Evil, Pivot, and Devinci). It pairs well with front wheels such as the SPIKE 369 Vibrocore, SPIKE 369, and SPIKE 359 Vibrocore.
Build details include triple-butted J-hook spokes with brass external nipples, 3-cross lacing, and tubeless-ready tape and valves. The CNC-forged alloy HEX Drive hub body includes a 6-bolt disc mount. Freehub options include XD and Shimano HG standard, with Micro Spline freehubs available.
