The Spank SPANK SPIKE 369 Rear Wheel is a 32-hole, 27.5-inch wheel designed for Superboost and 12×150/157mm Shimano HG setups. It features the new SPANK HEX Drive Hub with a 102-tooth, 6-pawl ratchet mechanism providing 3.5 degrees of engagement for quick response. Hand-built to A-Class standards, this lightweight wheel is used by professionals in the Enduro World Series.
The rim utilizes a Sacred Geometry hollow bead wall design that enhances both lateral and vertical strength. Its wider bead wall reduces pinch flats and improves impact resistance. With a profile height of 19mm and an inner width of 30.5mm, the rim balances radial compliance and lateral stiffness for predictable handling and improved traction on bumps. The 30.5mm width accommodates tire sizes from 2.0″ to 2.6″, including plus-size tires, without negative effects on tire shape. Bead Bite tubeless hooks improve tire security and performance at lower pressures.
This rear wheel is compatible with 150/157mm hubs, fitting Superboost applications used by brands like Evil, Pivot, and Devinci. It pairs well with Spank SPIKE 369 Vibrocore front wheels and SPIKE 359 Vibrocore front wheels.
Build details include triple-butted J-hook spokes (2.2/1.8/2.0mm), brass external nipples, and 3-cross lacing. The rim is tubeless-taped and comes with a Presta valve. The CNC-forged aluminum hub body includes alloy axle and freehub body components. The wheel features a 6-bolt disc mount.
Available freehub options include Shimano HG and XD, with micro spline as an option. Compatible service parts include various bearing kits, axle shafts, and freehubs. Rear adapters are available for Boost 148 and 135/142mm spacing.
This wheel is classified ASTM 5 and recommended for all-mountain, trail, enduro, freeride, downhill, gravel, cross-country, and e-bike use (when adapted with the SPANK HEX DRIVE steel freehub). It suits riders of all weights and impact levels, providing durable, high-performance support across a wide range of riding styles.
