Description
The Spank SPANK SPIKE 369 Rear Wheel is a 29-inch, 32-hole wheel designed for 148mm Boost XD hub spacing. It features the new SPANK HEX Drive Hub with a 102-tooth, 6-pawl ratchet system providing 3.5 degrees of engagement for almost instant pickup. Hand-built to A-Class standards, this lightweight performance wheel is trusted by professional riders in the Enduro World Series.
The wheel uses the Sacred Geometry hollow bead wall design to improve lateral and vertical strength. Its wider bead wall helps reduce pinch flats and increases impact resistance. With a moderately low 19mm profile height and a 30.5mm inner width, the rim balances radial compliance and lateral stiffness for predictable handling and improved traction over bumps. This width fits tires from 2.0″ up to 2.6″, allowing use of plus-size tires without squaring off tire profiles. Tubeless compatibility is enhanced by bead bite tubeless hooks that improve tire security even at lower pressures.
The hub body is made from CNC-optimized forged alloy with an alloy axle and freehub body. The wheel uses triple-butted J-hook spokes with brass external nipples, built in a 3-cross lacing pattern. It comes tubeless taped and valved with a Presta valve.
This rear wheel is compatible with Boost 148mm spacing and the XD freehub body. It fits a range of riders and impacts, suitable for all-mountain, trail, enduro, freeride, downhill, gravel, cross country, and e-bike use when adapted with the SPANK HEX DRIVE steel freehub (sold separately).
