The Spank SPANK SPIKE 369 Rear Wheel features a 32-hole, 29-inch rim designed for Superboost 12×150/157mm HG hub spacing. It is hand-built to A-Class specifications and uses the new SPANK HEX Drive Hub with a 102-tooth, 6-pawl ratchet system providing 3.5 degrees of engagement for nearly instant pickup.
The wheel’s rim incorporates the Sacred Geometry hollow bead wall design, enhancing both lateral and vertical strength. Its wider 30.5mm inner width supports tire sizes from 2.0″ to 2.6″ and allows for plus-size tires without causing squared-off tire profiles. The 19mm profile height balances radial compliance and lateral stiffness, improving traction and handling while reducing rider feedback over bumps and chatter. Bead bite tubeless hooks improve tubeless tire performance and security, even at lower pressures.
Compatible with Superboost applications from brands like Evil, Pivot, and Devinci, this wheel pairs well with SPIKE 369 Vibrocore and SPIKE 359 front wheels. It is available factory standard in XD and Shimano HG freehub options, with micro spline freehubs also available.
The wheel features 32 triple-butted J-hook spokes laced three-cross to a CNC forged alloy SPANK HEX J-Type hub with an alloy axle and freehub body. It includes a tubeless-ready rim taped and valved with a Presta valve. The rear hub uses a 6-bolt disc mount and accommodates various service kits and adapters for different axle sizes and freehub types.
Designed for ASTM 5 classification, this rear wheel is suitable for all-mountain, trail, enduro, freeride, downhill, gravel, XC, and e-bike use. It is recommended for varying rider weights and impact levels when used with the appropriate SPANK HEX DRIVE steel freehub (sold separately).
