Description
The Spank SPANK SPIKE 369 Vibrocore Rear Wheel is a 27.5″ wheel with a 32-hole count and 148mm Boost XD hub spacing. It features the new SPANK HEX Drive Hub with a 102-tooth, 6-pawl ratchet system providing 3.5 degrees of engagement for quick response. The wheel is hand-built to A-Class specifications and designed for heavy-duty use, trusted by professional riders in downhill and big mountain riding.
The alloy rim has a low profile and is reinforced with SPANK’s Vibrocore technology, which adds torsional strength and lateral stiffness while reducing harmful vibration. The rim’s hollow bead wall design improves both lateral and vertical strength, increases impact resistance, and reduces the risk of pinch flats. With a 19mm profile height and a 30.5mm inner width, the rim supports tire sizes from 2.0″ to 2.6″ and can accommodate plus-size tires without causing tire squaring.
The wheel uses J-hook triple-butted spokes with brass external nipples and is built with a 3-cross lacing pattern. It comes tubeless-ready with bead bite tubeless hooks, tubeless tape, and a Presta valve. The hub is made from CNC-optimized forged alloy components and includes a 6-bolt disc mount.
This rear wheel is suitable for all-mountain, trail, enduro, freeride, downhill, gravel, cross-country, and e-bike use (recommended with the SPANK HEX DRIVE steel freehub, sold separately). It supports heavy riders and heavy impact riding styles. Compatible adapters and service kits are available for different hub spacings and freehub types.
