Description
The Spank SPIKE 369 Vibrocore Rear Wheel is designed for 29″ mountain bikes with a 32-hole rim and Superboost 12×150/157mm rear hub spacing. It features the SPANK HEX Drive Hub with a 102-tooth, 6-pawl ratchet system that provides 3.5 degrees of engagement for quick and responsive pickup.
The wheel uses a low-profile, radially compliant alloy rim integrated with SPANK’s Vibrocore technology, which increases torsional strength and lateral stiffness while reducing vibration transfer to the rider and suspension. The rim has a 19mm profile height and a 30.5mm inner width, accommodating tire sizes from 2.0″ to 2.6″ and larger without squaring off tire profiles. Its Sacred Geometry hollow bead wall design enhances lateral and vertical strength, improves impact resistance, and reduces pinch flats.
The wheel is hand-built to A-Class specifications, featuring triple-butted J-hook spokes with 3-cross lacing and brass external nipples. It comes tubeless ready with bead bite tubeless hooks for better tire security at lower pressures and is compatible with tubeless setups using a Presta valve. The hub body is CNC forged alloy with an alloy axle and freehub body, and it mounts using a 6-bolt disc.
This rear wheel is built for demanding riders and heavy impact use across disciplines such as all-mountain, trail, enduro, freeride, downhill, gravel, cross-country, and e-bike applications (with the appropriate HEX DRIVE steel freehub upgrade). It is compatible with Shimano HG freehubs and can fit Superboost frames from brands like Evil, Pivot, and Devinci.
Available in factory standard versions with XD and Shimano HG freehub options. The wheel pairs with Spank SPIKE 369 Vibrocore and SPIKE 359 Vibrocore front wheels to complete a build.
